Quickie Korean Beef Bowl

This is a delicious one pan, one bowl Rachael Ray Weeknight kinda meal. Lean ground beef is flavoured with sweet Bulgogi sauce, and stir-fried with ginger, garlic and green onions. Serve over freshly steamed rice and you’ve got the flavours of Korean BBQ sans BBQ in 20 minutes.  Continue reading



Everyone LOVES food on a stick. Yakitori… Kebabs… Cake Pops… and let’s not forget our ingenious childhood Pogo’s.

My favourite “sticked” dish at the Lebanese restaurant in my hood is Kofta. It is an aromatic mix of minced meat, onions and spices, served with fresh pita, hummus, rice and tabbouleh. I can’t rave about it more. I wanted to make my own at home using organic ingredients, and I was surprised at how simple, cheap and tasty the results were!

Mom’s Rosemary Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction & Garlic Parmesan Spaghetti Squash

My family LOVES lamb. It is full of flavour, an excellent source of protein, and most importantly, takes minutes to pan-fry for hungry kids (and adults). Rosemary is lamb’s best friend and the balsamic reduction adds a hint of sweetness to compliment the gamey meat. Mom normally serves the lamb chops with baked potatoes and salad, but microwaved spaghetti squash is a faster and easier healthy side that beats salad greens in fun factor by infinity + 1 :).    Continue reading
