Black Sesame Cacao Energy Bars

5 ingredient wholesome no-bake energy bars! Naturally sweetened with dates. Studded with cacao nibs. And loaded with my favourite nuts (cashews) and seeds (sesame) to rev up your energy!

Black Sesame Cacao Energy Bars

  • Servings: 5 bars or 10 balls

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup pitted medjool dates, loosely packed
  2. 1 cup oats
  3. 1/2 cup cashews
  4. 1/2 cup rolled oats
  5. 1/4 cup cacao nibs
  6. 1/2 tsp sea salt

Let’s not bake:

  • Line a shallow rectangular container with a baking sheet
  • Pulse dates in a food processor until it becomes a thick paste
  • Add remaining ingredients until mixed
  • Scrape paste into the container and press down firmly (fold edges of the baking sheet inwards to make a rectangle if the container size is too large
  • Alternatively, roll the mixture into bite-size balls
  • Refrigerate 30 minutes or more before cutting into bars
