Chocolate Bird’s Nests

Chocolate Bird’s Nests are fun decorative treats to welcome Spring and celebrate Easter! These 2 ingredient no-bake chocolate nests are easy to make, and kids can get creative filling the nests with toppings like mini eggs, marshmallows, and jelly beans. Chocolate Bird's Nests

  • Servings: 6-8 nests

Ingredients:IMG_1658

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups puffed rice or shredded coconut
  • Toppings: chocolates, candies, toasted nuts

Let’s go:IMG_1659

  1. Bring an inch of water to a simmer in a saucepan. Place a heatproof bowl containing the chocolate chips in the saucepan of simmering water and stir occasionally until smooth.
  2. Remove the bowl from the sauce pan and stir in the 2 cups cereal/ coconut until fully coated. IMG_1662
  3. Drop large spoonfuls onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
  4. Lightly oil your fingers, and shape the nests, allowing room in the centre for your toppings.
  5. Refrigerate the nests until firm, and get creative with the toppings just before serving 😀
